Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 6, 2026
At SiteStitch, we believe your data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy details how we handle information in the SiteStitch browser extension and on our website.
1. Local Processing (Our Core Philosophy)
SiteStitch processes everything locally on your machine. When you capture and stitch a web page, the serialization, image compilation, font extraction, and styling logic take place entirely within your local browser sandbox. No page data, URLs, or browsing activity are transmitted to our servers.
2. Optional Cloud & External Integrations
SiteStitch offers optional cloud integration features allowing you to save pages directly to third-party services. These integrations include:
- Google Drive & Dropbox: Files are uploaded directly from your browser to your storage folder using OAuth. We never access your credentials or files.
- GitHub: Files are pushed directly to a repository of your choice using your personal access token.
- WebDAV: Files are sent to your specified self-hosted storage server.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP): Page archives are sent directly to your locally or externally configured MCP tools server.
These actions are only performed when you manually select the corresponding save target in your configuration.
3. Extension Permissions
The SiteStitch extension requests several permissions to perform its core functions:
<all_urls>: Required to fetch background images, stylesheets, and sub-frames of pages you choose to save.downloads: Needed to output and download the stitched HTML file.storage: Needed to save your local configuration options and custom user profiles.activeTab/scripting: Used to execute the capture script on the active page.
4. Third-Party Websites
Our extension and landing page may contain links to external sites (such as GitHub or the developer’s personal site). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.
5. Contact & Support
If you have any questions about this policy or the extension, please contact the developer, Alindevx00x, at alindevx00x.me.
